Success At the National awards

On Thursday the 27th of April JBFX took out some fantastic results at the New Zealand Sign and Display Awards . We won gold for best mural which was great to acheive this in our favourite catergory. The job was called Storm Cloud and it was a complete custom airbrush job on a luxury motorhome. The secound gold was won for best glass job and went to the Tamaki Brothers Heritage Village office in Christchurch. The job was a full digital window splash with off set diminional lettering.
We then went on to win a silver for Radical Choppers in Christchurch and a bronze for our work in the Brew House Rangiora's gaming room which we themed to feel like a mine shaft. All of us at JBFX are very happy with the result and know that without the combined effort of all that work here this could not be acheived.

Latest Bus Birds gone wild

Our latest radical paint job is for Dorie Averies (The Bird People).
Really fine work on this job we payed alot of detail to the birds and backgrounds, I wanted to make it as not like a museum set but rather a nice looking mural. The paint is base coat clear coat and the signage is digital. The client is a massive budgie breeder and has a very big bird seed distribution. The cool thing with our work here at JBFX one day your painting birds the next your on a movie set and the next your designing a bar for some remote suburb in another country. Got some cool stuff coming up in the year so stay tuned.

Pimp My Bus

JBFX has just finished their most radical bus paint job . The bus costing over $700 000 to build was certainly a sight to see. We custom painted the whole bus in Crusader theme and with the name "Fire and Ice" I was able to do my version of true fire. Painting in base coat clear coat is always exciting because untill the clear is applied you never really know just how strong the effect is going to be. We had a fantastic time painting this bus and are now doing one every two weeks.
